National Committees

Several National Committees are operating within the global AFSIA network. These are separate organizations with autonomous status, which are operating under the AFSIA umbrella within defined geographical areas (national jurisdictions or broader regions).

The purpose of these National Committees is to create a platform at local level to facilitate and enhance contacts between alumni and friends active within the same region. This reduction of distance generates opportunities to organise events to discuss issues of common interest or for social purposes. The creation of strong local bases will in turn enhance contacts within the global AFSIA network.

The National Committees Group of the AFSIA Steering Committee coordinates these National Committees. It encourages the creation of new Committees, and fosters the cooperation, mutual assistance and exchange of information between existing National Committees and between National Committees and the Steering Committee.
